‘Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

‘Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!’

He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought —
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood a while in thought.

And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!

One two! One two! And through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.

‘And hast thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
Oh frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!’
He chortled in his joy.

‘Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

Lewis Carroll

I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.

A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the earth’s sweet flowing breast;

A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;

A tree that may in summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;

Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.

Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.

Joyce Kilmer

The Rose that Grew from Concrete

Did you hear about the rose that grew
from a crack in the concrete?
Proving nature’s law is wrong it
learned to walk without having feet.
Funny it seems, but by keeping its dreams,
it learned to breathe fresh air.
Long live the rose that grew from concrete
when no one else ever cared.

Tupac Shakur

She Walks in Beauty

She walks in beauty like the night
of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that’s best of dark and bright
meets in her aspect and her eyes:
Thus mellow’d to that tender light
which heaven to gaudy day denies.

One shade the more, one ray the less,
had half impair’d the nameless grace
which waves in every raven tress,
or softly lightens o’er her face –
where thoughts serenely sweet express
how pure, how dear their dwelling – place.

And on that cheek, and o’er that brow,
so soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
the smiles that win, the tints that glow,
but tells in days of goodness spent,
a mind at peace with all below,
a heart whose love is innocent.

George Gordon Byron

A Dream Lies Dead

A dream lies dead here. May you softly go
Before this place, and turn away your eyes,
Nor seek to know the look of that which dies
Importuning Life for life. Walk not in woe,
But, for a little, let your step be slow.
And, of your mercy, be not sweetly wise
With words of hope and Spring and tenderer skies.
A dream lies dead; and this all mourners know:

Whenever one drifted petal leaves the tree-
Though white of bloom as it had been before
And proudly waitful of fecundity-
One little loveliness can be no more;
And so must Beauty bow her imperfect head
Because a dream has joined the wistful dead!

Dorothy Parker

A Girl

The tree has entered my hands,
The sap has ascended my arms,
The tree has grown in my breast –
The branches grow out of me, like arms.

Tree you are,
Moss you are,
You are violets with wind above them.
A child – so high – you are,
And all this is folly to the world.

Ezra Pound

What is hope……………..

What hope means

Hope is bright shining light which keeps darkness at the bay
Hope is gentle cold breeze on a hot summer day

Hope is to remain positive when going gets tough
hope is seeking more when others think u had enough

What hope means

Hope is dreaming of tomorrow
Hope is simmering under sorrow

Hope is sparkles when tears in our eyes
Hope is a beautiful thing & beautiful things never die

What hope means

Hope is as light as a feather
Hope keeps all of us together

Hope is ubiquitous and free of cost
hope is the last thing ever lost…..

I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings

The free bird leaps on the back of the wind and floats downstream till the current ends and dips his wings in the orange sun rays and dares to claim the sky.
But a bird that stalks down his narrow cage can seldom see through his bars of rage his wings are clipped and his feet are tied so he opens his throat to sing.
The caged bird sings with fearful trill of the things unknown but longed for still and is tune is heard on the distant hill for the caged bird sings of freedom.
The free bird thinks of another breeze an the trade winds soft through the sighing trees and the fat worms waiting on a dawn-bright lawn and he names the sky his own.
But a caged bird stands on the grave of dreams his shadow shouts on a nightmare scream his wings are clipped and his feet are tied so he opens his throat to sing
The caged bird sings with a fearful trill of things unknown but longed for still and his tune is heard on the distant hill for the caged bird sings of freedom.

Maya Angelou

“Hope” is the thing with feathers

“Hope” is the thing with feathers— That perches in the soul— And sings the tune without the words— And never stops—at all—
And sweetest—in the Gale—is heard— And sore must be the storm— That could abash the little Bird That kept so many warm—
I’ve heard it in the chillest land— And on the strangest Sea— Yet, never, in Extremity, It asked a crumb—of Me.

Thoughts on increasing background checks for weapon sales Sunday, Apr 14 2013

Susan Collins is a politician from my home state. She is a Republican Senator who is pushing for legislation authorizing extensive background checks on those who seek to own a gun with the hope of establishing some controls over weapon sales so that they aren’t landing in the hands of people who are getting publicity and exposure for mass killings and creating unnecessary chaos.

In theory, she is trying to do a good thing. We at least have some people taking an action to do SOMETHING, which is better than apathy.

Here are some things to think about however, along with some questions that I have…….

Are these mass killings happening strategically by a crime ring to try and cause this legislation to be created in the first place?

Are the senators playing into the hands of those controlling the puppets by giving them what they want (which is this legislation), thereby negatively reinforcing the perpetrators to continue to create chaos whenever they want the legislation on the table that ultimately serves an entirely different greater hidden agenda?

How honest are the background checks? I will speak more on this below.

Does the mental health field have the integrity to make those decisions fairly and in an unbiased manner, or will they make decisions based upon what they are told to say, and with whom they are aligned or for who they want to establish control, that could then leave certain people who need it, unprotected and ultimately targets put in harm’s way?

A background check is only as good as the integrity of the information provided from the source. Although I have never hurt anyone in my life and don’t committ hardened crimes, I request this information because I have been victim to erroneous paperwork on occasion from sources who consider themselves “professionals” but their accounting in their notes when documented is incorrect to what was discussed and stated. I am constantly correcting comments that are subjective rather than objective which means it alters and twists the context of the document by being based on opinions and their perceptions and is biased to the facts that were presented, thus I am careful to submit changes on what I have the power to correct into factual objective information. I have the legal right to make these corrections.

Here is my story about background checks…….

Whenever I apply for a position, I always ask for a copy of the results of the background check if one is done. I am legally allowed to have posession of and refute anything that is incorrect and defames me with character assassination. So are you. I have asked for copies when they are done for more than 25 years now and I have YET to actually get one from an employer or the agency they use and they are obligated legally to tell me if anything is amiss in my background check. I have called the companies that requested them multiple times, I have called the agencies that ran them, I have gone to the police station myself (who advised me to request one online) and finally I came home and requested one from my home state online. I keep copies whenever I do it. I recommend you do it as well.

I am being told by certain people that I have people strategically and purposely undermining information in my background check and the accuracy of the information being reported; if it is going on, is being hidden from me strategically and is a passive-aggressive attack. Because of the authenticity of records issues I have had, I am constantly backtracking and have lost faith in the integrity of the system. Am I responsible financially and legally to have to pay for errors in judgment and ethics violations that aren’t my fault to have this corrected?

So back to the topic of gun ownership–if I want to ever own a gun, will these people get away with it? Who pays the legal costs to have the information corrected from the defamation? Is this just a dishonest money maker? Would I be turned down for a gun because of other’s manipulations?

I have concerns that efforts to protect us will ultimately be twisted and turned into something bad, not necessarily by those who make and pass the laws, but by those who twist situations to hurt nice people.

So as Senator Collins prepares this legislation in good faith and with good intentions, I have to look at the situation from a different angle as a COMPLETELY SANE person being wronged and hope that current legislation on gun control and background checks, that started with a good intent by the government, doesn’t end up being used as a negative control device under the power of a crime ring that would prevent deserving citizens from their lawful rights to bear arms and feel protected.

Thank you for my voice as a citizen.

My thoughts on the gun control issue……. Friday, Apr 12 2013

I have mixed feelings on government gun control legislation and here are my current thoughts…….

It is not the gun or the knife that is the problem, it is the person wielding it and their belief systems and influences. The puppets are the only things we see at a puppet show in a theater, but the strings that lead from the puppet up to the hidden puppet masters define the quality and ability involved in making the show take place.

I think the government is making a mistake generalizing and saying that anyone with a mental health issue can’t have a permit for a gun. I also think that media is once again brainwashing us and playing on our fears.

I had the good fortune of knowing a doctor who once told me that a majority of people who go to see psychiatrists aren’t usually truly the ones with the issues, they are usually the victims of those with the issues, and they come seeking help responsibly in coping, while the victimizers don’t come forward as readily. So is the government going to truly say that those who seek medical services for issues in their lives and are then given a diagnosis will have to give up the right to ever own a gun?

If a woman is violated without her consent and suffers emotional trauma and damage that causes a mental health issue, the government’s generalization disallowing her the right to protect herself and feel safe will cause more damage to her emotionally with regards to feelings of being less protected. The new gun control laws will prevent her from having a weapon of protection if she seeks help from medical personnel and is subsequently given a diagnosis so that they can bill insurance. What about domestic violence victims, how can they protect themselves if the government prevents them from having any legal way to do so?

I feel terrible about the tragedys occurring on the campuses and in our schools. Only cowards take out rage on the “chicken nugget lovers”. In the Sandy Hook shooting one child survived from playing “dead”. Obviously there are going to be lifelong scars and PTSD– is the government going to then tell that child who survived that when they are of age, they can’t have a weapon to protect themselves because of the damage they suffered and because they now have a mental health issue because of it? It would be an oxymoron.

I think it is time for the government officials to risk losing some campaign money and decide to go after the many companies supplying these caches of weaponry and putting them into their hands. These companies are allowing these weapon stockpiles to occur because it makes them MONEY. They KNOW who they have for clients who are stockpiling unnecessary amounts of weapons and they can actually choose to care BEFORE the damage is done. There should be a system of reporting so that the police have a potential suspect list BEFORE the killers take action so that they are ready. Don’t go after the puppets if you aren’t ready to get control of the strings. Where are these kids getting the money to buy these things? We are talking thousands of dollars involved in this….. Who is empowering them? Who are their influences? It is my suspicion that these are not random occurrences.

If you are intentionally going to feed a crime network what it needs to thrive, then you become an accomplice, unless you make a change for the better. I am not sure the current legislation on gun control is a change for the better because killers are going to get hold of weapons regardless of any laws. So my advice for the government as the respondeat superior, that if they want to truly restore the integrity of this country, and if my voice counts as a citizen, that they start choosing to use surveillance to actually go catch the real bad guys rather than to violate us and figure out how to set up the good guys. It would help restore the integrity of this country, which right now is being sadly undermined by these terrorists and the criminal network that I suspect empowers and feeds them.

Some of us are sick of being stalked and left victimized in a country that is supposed to be a great melting pot and global leader………thanks!

Reflection on sad news today……. Thursday, Apr 4 2013

It is a sad day in America when the porn addicts violate yet another person through sexual assault and inappropriate film footage that obviously is non-consensual and violates our rights. This time, it was a 10-year old girl who was sexually assaulted, used inappropriately, and made victim to inappropriate photos taken of her. People deserve value for something other than being exploited porn food for offenders.

At what point is justice going to right itself so that we aren’t left violated and exploited for inappropriate entertainment any longer?

Obviously, we don’t consent……..the damage done to her is long-lasting and it should never have to happen.
